Late in the summer of 1946, a group from Sugarcreek Township visited the Centerville Lions club. These and others then met in the Township Hall and, sponsored by the Centerville Lions, held an election of officers to server through June of 1947. A day in the March was set as the closing date for Charter Membership and 56 names went in to Lions International with the application for Charter.
The club has continued since that date with the overall mission to empower volunteers to serve our community, encourage youth and promote health. We believe that community is what we make it.
